Stabilization and balance training can prevent falls and fractures!! A bold statement but …. “if you don’t fall you don’t break a bone”. Let me assist you with a “fall prevention” program that is constructed and implemented specifically for you.
To counteract the loss of bone mineral density (BMD) that accompanies the aging process and to prevent the development of osteopenia and osteoporosis (brittle bone disease), I utilize the Osteoblast Training® concepts. This type of strength training focuses on increasing bone strength at the primary sites of osteoporotic fracture (hips, spine and wrist).
Cognitive wellbeing is of vital importance as we age. Neuro-degenerative disorders such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease take away the quality of life that we are accustomed to. The “new age” approach of NEUROGENESIS training will activate new brain cells and stimulate the density of the hippocampus which slows down the rate of memory loss. Thought provoking and problem-solving training programs conducted in a fun-loving way will help you get the results you want.
With an initial assessment such as a shoulder mobility test, I will help you determine your starting point and will work with you to establish your short and long-term goals. These assessments will include but are not limited to: Functional Movement Screening (FMS), evaluating your previous and current health history, training status and sports experiences and metabolic calculations to determine caloric intake and expenditure.
